Katie, originally from the UK, lives, paints and is inspired on Victoria's Surf Coast. She is in love with Australia's landscape and natural beauty and finds it enormously stimulating.
Her extensive world travel has been a huge inspiration for her artwork and a love for design, colour, shape and texture are fundamental to the work she is producing. Katie paints in acrylics on canvas.
She aims to create individual pieces of art that are affordable and which compliment and inspire peoples living space.
Katie's artwork is currently on sale in a number of home and interiors stores along the Surf Coast. She has also exhibited at local art exhibitions and has completed a number of private commissions. Her work is in private collections, here in Australia, the UK, Japan and the USA.
She gained her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design at one of the UK's leading Colleges of Art & Design. During her career she has worked as a PR for some of the UK's leading fashion retailers and London's cutting edge department store Selfridges as a fashion and homewares PR.
Her desire to travel saw her move to Melbourne, with her partner, in 1999 where she continued her career working as National PR for Myer Grace Brothers and later Special Events Manager for Myer Melbourne.
Katie is now a full time artist.
